Your numbers
You have the numbers. We’ll tell you what they mean.
Send us the spreadsheets, the exports, the folder you’ve been avoiding. We tidy it up, dig through it, and hand back plain answers and a short list of things worth doing — no jargon and no homework.
What it is
Somebody reads your numbers properly, once
You send whatever you’ve got. We clean it up, look through it, and give you back a short write-up in plain English. No software, no subscription, no screen to keep checking — just answers.
You send what you have
Spreadsheets, till exports, invoices, booking history. Messy, incomplete, three years in four different formats — that’s the normal starting point, not a problem.
We tidy it up first
Duplicates, gaps, one supplier spelled four different ways, an invoice that got paid twice. Unglamorous, and it’s most of the work — it’s also what makes the answers worth trusting.
You get two or three pages
What’s happening, what it’s costing or earning you, and what we’d do about it first. Then a call to walk you through it properly.
Why bother
When this is worth doing
Not everybody needs it. These are the moments when it earns its keep.
A month was worse and nobody knows why
Takings dipped, or costs jumped, and the explanations people offer don’t quite add up.
You’re about to make a big decision
Taking somebody on, a second location, dropping a product line. Worth an afternoon of evidence before you commit a year.
You’re busy but not making money
The one we hear most. Busy and profitable are different questions, and the gap between them can always be found.
Something feels off and you can’t name it
Waste, a supplier creeping up, a shift pattern that costs more than it brings in. Vague suspicions usually turn out to be right.
What comes back
The kinds of things we find
Not every project turns up something dramatic. Most turn up two or three of these.
You’re paying for something twice
Duplicate invoices, a subscription that renewed under a second name, a supplier billing the same delivery through two accounts. Boring, common, and worth real money.
Your best seller isn’t your best
How much you sell and how much you make are different questions, and the answer surprises most people.
Customers drop off at one particular moment
Month three, the second visit, the first big invoice. There’s usually a cliff, and it’s usually fixable once you can see it.
One thing is carrying everything
Often most of your profit comes from a corner of the business you haven’t been treating as the main event.
The quiet hours cost more than they look
An empty afternoon isn’t just lost sales — it’s staffed. Seeing both together tends to change a rota within a fortnight.
Sometimes: not much at all
Occasionally you’re running it well and there’s no hidden problem. We’ll say so plainly rather than invent a finding to justify the invoice.
Questions
About sending us your data
What if I don’t know what I’m looking for?
That’s the usual starting point and it’s completely fine. Tell us what feels off — a month that was worse than it should have been, a cost you can’t explain — and we’ll work backwards from there.
How much data do I need?
A year is ideal, because it lets us compare seasons. Six months works. Under three and we’ll tell you honestly that there isn’t enough there to say anything useful yet.
Is my data kept private?
Yes. It isn’t shared, sold, or used for anything but your project, and we’ll delete our working copies at the end if you’d like. Happy to sign an NDA — just ask.
Should I get this or a dashboard?
This is a one-off deep look when you have a question. A dashboard is an ongoing screen you check. Plenty of people do this first and then decide whether an ongoing screen is worth it.
How long does it take?
Usually one to two weeks from the point we have your files. The tidying is most of that; the analysis itself is quick once the data can be trusted.
Send it over, messy and all
Describe what you’ve got and what’s bothering you. We’ll tell you what’s findable in it before you commit to anything.
